British actress Sair Khan is set to become a household name after being cast in ITV's Coronation Street in April 2014, joining the soap this summer.

Considered a newcomer to the acting business with a brief appearance in Doctors and stage credits including Blighty and I Am Woman to her name, Sair will play the role of Khalid Nazir's (Jimi Mistry) wayward daughter Alya in what is her first major TV role.
